Georgia DT talks visit plans

Though visits have been placed on Jerome Davis' back burner, the three-star defensive tackle from Buford (Ga.) recently found time to take the first official visit of his recruitment a couple weekends ago, to West Virginia.

"I thought it was a nice place. The coaches are extremely nice. I enjoyed the whole thing of being recruited, being on the visit," the 6-2, 255-pound Davis told SpartanMag.com earlier this week.

"It didn't move (West Virginia) up," Davis added of his visit. "It was just I needed to take a visit and I enjoyed the visit. And I just have a chance to have some options of things I want to be doing, and it didn't move them back or move them up. But I did like the place a lot, though."

Davis said he would like to take his five allotted visits, and after visiting Morgantown, that leaves him four more visits to schedule. But he might not get back on the recruiting road until after the New Year, and South Carolina and Michigan State have made his agenda, though the dates aren't set in stone.

Davis added that he would like to reserve his final visit for Mississippi State, while Penn State and Miami-FL - both schools recently requested his film and are yet to offer - are candidates to land a visit as well.
