Ejiofor: “I'm all in”
Houston (Texas) Alief Taylor defensive end Duke Ejiofor committed to the Demon Deacons Wake Forest at breakfast with Jim Grobe and Derrick Jackson Sunday morning, Jan. 27.
"They were very excited," Ejiofor said. "They can't wait for me to get up there and get busy."
"I'm all in. When I got there I already had it in my mind. I bought a hat Saturday. It's the academics really and the people. The environment of the school is so beautiful. There's so much to say. I'm at a loss for words right now."
Demon Deacon defensive lineman Tylor Harris was Ejiofor's host during his official visit to Wake.
"He took me around the campus," Ejiofor said. "He basically just told me how things go around there and I met a few of the academic supporters and they told me how they'll take care of me."
"He's a great guy. He's pretty similar to me. He even told me once I get up there he's going to take care of me. He told me what it's going to take to be a true freshman and the amount of work I'm going to have to put in and what I'm going to have to do to be successful at that school."
Jackson and Ray McCartney recruited Ejiofor for the Demon Deacons.
Ejiofor said his relationship with Jackson and McCartney made a great impact on his decision to choose Wake. He added they have built a strong connection with him and his family over the last three weeks.
The 6-foot-4 and 218-pound Texan, who is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, will come to Wake Forest as a defensive end with the flexibility of moving to outside linebacker.
He joins Brad Watson, Dezmond Wortham, Joshua Okonye as the fourth Lone Star State prospect in Wake's 2013 recruiting class.
