2018 QB Perez draws looks

O'Fallon (Ill.) sophomore quarterback prospect Christian Perez (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) has had a very strong off season as more and more colleges have discovered him. Perez checks in and talks about his latest recruiting news and much more in this recruiting update.

"I've been juggling school, 7on7 and track these days," Perez said. "I'm also heading down to Columbus this weekend for the Rivals Quarterback Challenge. I'm working hard and I want to have a strong camp this weekend."

Perez made a recent visit to Purdue.

"I was able to visit Purdue not too long ago and I really liked it. The Purdue coaches all knew who I was and that was a good feeling. Coach (Tim) Lester along with Coach (DeAndre) Smith have been showing interest in me for a long time now. I also visited Illinois last year and I'm hoping to get back to Illinois sometime sion for another visit. "

Perez has also drawn steady recruiting interest from several schools this spring.

"Besides Purdue and Illinois I've been getting a lot of mail from schools like Michigan State, Florida State, Cincinnati, Northern Arizona and several other schools. Most of those schools have been sending me camp information and a lot of them have also invited me to visit them soon."

Does Perez have any summer camp plans set yet?

"I'm going to sit down with my coaches at school soon and sort some things out. I haven't set any dates yet but I know I'll camp with Purdue for sure. I'm sure I'll go to several camps this summer along with working with my team at some different team camps and 7on7's."
