ATH Hall likes his new spot
Homewood (Ill.) Flossmoor senior two star ranked athlete recruit Justin Hall (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) and the Vikings got off to a strong start with a 63-21 win over Michigan City, Indiana. Hall, who is playing running back for the Vikings this season talks about his first game and more.
"It felt amazing to be back playing running back," Hall said. "I hadn't played running back since my freshman year and it was just a good feeling to get back to carrying the football."
Hall, who ran for 217 yards and 4 touchdowns last week is also gearing up for a long road trip for his second game of the season.
"We play Southern Durham (North Carolina) this week in North Carolina. We are leaving Thursday morning and we are planning to stop I think with at Duke or North Carolina and having a practice before the game. We had a game scheduled but they ended up cancelling the game so it was either take a forfeit or go and travel. It's a good chance to play against a team from another part of the country and try to give our school and program some national recognition. It should be a fun trip."
Hall is also still very committed to Northern Illinois.
"I'm still really good with NIU. I talk to the NIU coaches all the time and I'm sure I'll get out to a game as soon as I can."
With NIU having such a great Class of 2018 in-state success, how did the Huskies separate themselves from other schools that recruited Hall?
"NIU just really made me feel like I was a priority recruit for them and they really recruited me hard. I would get text from all of the NIU all the time. I was hearing from the offensive line coach, the defensive coaches and really everyone on the staff. The NIU coaches really got to know me as a person and more than just a player. I visited NIU I think 2-3 times and once I visited NIU I really liked it."
Justin Hall is verbally committed to Northern Illinois University.
