Borske, who was also considering offers from Wyoming, Nevada, Buffalo and Illinois State was sold on his weekend visit.
"Western Michigan had been interested in me for awhile. They wanted me to come out and visit them and I went out with my parents and they loved it at Western Michigan. The offer was a bit of a surprise since this was my first visit. The WMU coaches had seen me in person a few times in the spring as well as at some one day camps so they had a chance to see me and evaluate me."
Borske can now focus on his upcoming senior season.
"It's great to have my decision made so I can just focus on my senior season. It just worked out great for me and I'm very excited."
Borske, who was joined by Proviso West senior athlete recruit Rhashaun Epting over the weekend in pledging to the Broncos is now the four known Land of Lincoln name in the Western Michigan Class of 2016. Borske and Epting join Evanston quarterback Matt Little and Phillips senior defensive tackle Amir Watts in pledging to Western Michigan.
Brett Borske is verbally committed to Western Michigan.
