Bravo for Purdue

Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy senior punter Brian Bravo (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) made an unofficial visit to Purdue today and accepted a preferred walk-on spot with the Boilermakers. Bravo talks about his decision here.
"I made an unofficial visit to Purdue today," Bravo said. "They offered me a preferred walk-on spot so I accepted it. Purdue is just a great fit for me and I have a chance to come in and compete for a spot right away."

Bravo, who was an All Area and All Conference performer in 2014 for the Hilltoppers and head coach Dan Sharp talked about why he pledged to the Boilermakers.
"I had offers from Western Michigan along with Drake but the combination of academics that Purdue offers along with a chance to compete in the Big Ten is too hard for me to pass up. I really love what Purdue has to offer both on the field and in the class room. The coaching staff at Purdue has just treated me great during the entire process and it's a great opportunity."
Bravo is also planning to come in and compete for a job right away.
"Purdue always has two kickers on scholarship so that's why they couldn't offer me one right now. They feel that I can come in and complete right away and hopefully end up earning a scholarship."
Brian Bravo is verbally committed to Purdue.
