Christopher pledges to SEMO

North Mac senior offensive tackle recruit Will Christopher (6-foot-5, 280 pounds). decided to end his recruiting process on Tuesday night and gave Southeast Missouri State his verbal commitment.

"SEMO just always felt like home," Christopher said. "I just liked everything about SEMO so I decided to commit."

Christopher filled us in on why he decided to pledge to Southeast Missouri State.

"Southeast Missouri State is something different and a new place and a new experience for me. I really like the coaches, the campus and really everything that they have to offer. I already have some friends at SEMO and it's just a great fit for me. The football program is rebuilding and I'm looking for a place where I can come in and help then turns things around."

So who else did Christopher consider before pledging to the Redhawks?

"I looked hard at both Eastern Illinois and Indiana State. Both schools had a lot to offer but they also just didn't feel the same as SEMO felt."

Christopher is also thrilled to have his college choice completed.

"I'm excited about my decision and so is my family. Part of me is glad to have my recruiting completed and another side of me will miss talking with the coaches and getting to know them better. Overall I enjoyed the process but from a stress standpoint it feels great to be finished. I have a spot now and I can just totally focus on my team and the rest of my senior year."

Will Christopher is verbally committed to Southeast Missouri State.
