Christopher starts the camp grind

Virden (Ill.) North Mac junior offensive guard recruit Will Christopher (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) has a very busy summer camp schedule and made his first camp of the summer on Monday at Northern Iowa. Christopher fills us in on his first camp and more here.

"I had my first one day camp today at Northern Iowa," Christopher said. "It was a good camp overall and I felt I did Ok. I needed to get a bit of rust off and once I did I performed much better."

Christopher talked about his first camp experience at Northern Iowa.

"I was really happy about my overall conditioning. I worked really hard this winter on improving my overall conditioning and it paid off at the UNI camp. Northern Iowa had the first two hours as testing. We ran 40's and shuttles along with a lot of speed and agility and drill work. We then broke down into pads and camped in pads for another two hours. We had like 30 minutes for one on ones and the only thing I would have liked to see was more one on one time."

So what's up next for Christopher for this summer?

"I have several one day camps set. I'm heading next to Toledo on June 2nd, then Eastern Michigan on June 3rd and Lindenwood on June 4th. I'm also camping this summer at Northwestern, Notre Dame, Miami of Ohio, Ohio State and also Northern Illinois over the next few weeks."

Christopher also recapped his latest offers.

"I have offers now from Colgate, Eastern Illinois, Indiana State and Southeast Missouri State. I'm hoping to get out to camps and earn more offers this summer."

Will Christopher has scholarship offers from Colgate, Eastern Illinois, Indiana State and SEMO.
