DB Flowers talks recruiting

Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North senior defensive back recruit Josh Flowers (5-foot-11, 175 pounds) is back in practice with the Panthers this week. Flowers also took a few minutes to update us on his latest recruiting news.

"We had a good first day of practice," Flowers said. "Everyone has been putting in a lot of extra work on our own. I'm definitely excited for my senior year"

Flowers recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I was able to add a few new offers. I have new offers now from Illinois State, South Dakota State, Northern Michigan (D2) and Davenport (D2). I still stay in touch with Illinois State and the other schools who've offered me and they really want me to commit. I've also stayed in touch with schools like Western Kentucky, Central Michigan, Iowa State, North Dakota State and also Southeast Missouri State."

So does Flowers have a time frame for making his college choice?

"I'm going to play things out for a little bit. A lot of the schools want to see some of my early senior year video before they offer me. A lot of those same schools have invited me to see a game this fall so I'm going to try to also get out to visit some of those games in person."

Flowers for now is mainly focused on his team and his upcoming senior season.

"I'm just looking forward to a big season. It definitely feels a lot different this year since I'm a senior. Everyone wants to just go out and really give it our all. Being a senior makes you want to go out and get it done even more since this is our last shot."

Josh Flowers has scholarship offers from Illinois State, South Dakota State, Northern Michigan and Davenport.
