DB Garlisch adds his first offer

St. Charles (IL) East junior defensive back recruit Nick Garlisch (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer recently from South Dakota State. Garlisch discusses his thoughts on adding his first offer and much more here.

"South Dakota State offered me a scholarship not too long ago," Garlisch said. "It's pretty exciting and it was also a nice surprise to get my first offer this early."

Garlisch, who played cornerback, safety and wingback in 2016 for the Saints recapped his impressions of South Dakota State.

"I met the coaches from South Dakota State when I was at a once day camp last summer. They started sending me mail and we've remained in touch since last summer. The coaches from SDSU made an in school visit back in December and a few weeks after they visited they offered me. I honestly don't know too much about SDSU to be honest. They play in the Missouri Valley Conference and had a really good season. I'll look harder into them soon."

Garlisch has also started to drawn more recruiting looks this winter.

"Besides South Dakota State I've also been in touch with the coaches from Illinois State and also NIU. My dream school would be Wisconsin. I just always liked rooting for the Badgers as a kid and it's a great school and football program that's pretty close to home."
