DB Shodipo adds more offers
Oswego (Ill.) junior defensive back recruit Josh Shodipo (6-foot-0, 185 pounds) has been able a handful of FCS level offers this spring. Shodipo fills us in on his latest offers, summer camp plans and much more in this recruiting update.
"My recruiting has been going well," Shodipo said. "I have offers now from South Dakota State, Western Illinois and Indiana State and several other schools have been staying in touch."
Shodipo recapped his thoughts on his recent offers. .
"I know that South Dakota State won the Missouri Valley Conference last season. Western Illinois just had a wide receiver go to the NFL. Indiana State is on the come up with a new coaching staff.. I'm hoping to go out to visit South Dakota State this summer along with visiting WIU and Indiana State."
So who else has been staying in touch with Shodipo so far this spring?
"Iowa State, Western Michigan, Toledo, NIU, Miami of Ohio, Illinois State, Southern Illinois, Wyoming and a few others have all been in touch. A lot of those schools want me to camp with them this summer."
So does Shodipo have any summer camp plans set yet?
"I'm planning to go to the North Central College camp with Iowa State and then again on June 7th with Western Michigan and Wyoming. I'm also going to camp at NIU on June 14th. I might also add another camp or two."
Shodipo, who wrapped up his junior year of high school on Thursday is also looking forward towards his upcoming senior season.
"We should be very good this year. Our offense has the potential to put up a lot of points and our defense is just as good or even better than last year. Our lines will be young but we should be a state title contender this year."
