DE Burks draws more looks

Chicago (Ill.) Curie junior defensive end recruit Marquis Burks (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) has the look and the physical tools and upside to become a highly sought after name in the Class of 2018. Burks checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news here.

"I still have an offer from Toledo," Burks said. "I haven't had a chance to get out to visit any schools just yet."

Burks, who is playing linebacker this winter for HeroH 7on7 is drawing recruiting looks from several colleges so far this winter.

"Besides Toledo I'm also in touch with UCLA, NIU, Central Michigan, Missouri, Bowling Green, Pitt and Minnesota. Those schools and some smaller schools are all showing interest. They all love my junior tape and want me to stay in touch."

Burks talked about what he feels is his strengths on the field.

"I read my keys pretty well. I also don't miss too many tackles."

Does Burks have a dream school?

"My dream school would be Oregon. I have just always liked Oregon's style of play plus they offer a good education."

Marquis Burks has a scholarship offer from Toledo.
