DE Cook adds an NDSU camp offer

Libertyville (Ill.) senior defensive end recruit Brendan Cook (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) added another scholarship offer on Sunday after taking part in the North Dakota State camp this past weekend. Cook checks in and recaps his NDSU camp and much more here.

"I'm driving back from South Dakota State," Cook said. "I visited SDSU and I also spent time this weekend at the North Dakota State camp and NDSU offered me at the camp which was pretty exciting."

Cook, who now has offers from North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Army, Navy and Cornell recapped his impressions and camp experience at North Dakota State.

"I enjoyed the camp at NDSU. There was a lot of kids and the competition level was very high . I also really liked NDSIU. I was able to take a tour of the facilities and that's when NDSU offered me a scholarship. NDSU is doing a ton of renovations and once those are done it's all going to look really nice. It was also cool to play in the Fargo Dome. The campus is beautiful and while it would take some time getting used to it overall I just really liked everything I saw at NDSU."

Cook also came away also impressed with the coaches at North Dakota State.

"I had a great experience working with Coach (Nick) Goesser at the camp. I liked the way he coaches. I want to play for a coach who's going to push me to be the best I could possibly be. Coach Goesser definitely was able to push me to work hard and get better."

So what's up next for Cook this summer?

"As of now I'm planning to go to the Dayton camp on July 19th and Eastern Michigan camp on July 23rd. I'm also thinking about going to the Bowling Green camp on July 20th. I also know that I'll probably doing a lot of visits pretty soon based on who's showing me interest/offers."

So does Cook know which schools in particular he will visit?

"I'll probably visit a lot of MAC schools. Toledo, BGSU and Eastern Michigan most likely. I have already visited Central Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Western Michigan and Ball State along now with Illinois State, North Dakota State and South Dakota State."
