DE O'Rourke has summer plans

Frankfort (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East junior defensive end recruit Devin O'Rourke (6-foot-6, 2301 pounds) was able to add three spring scholarship offers and expect more offers to come sooner rather than later for O'Rourke starting this summer. O'Rourke checks in and recaps his recruiting, summer plans and more here.

"I have three offers so far," O'Rourke said. "Illinois was the latest school to offer me and I also had earlier offers from Central Michigan and Iowa State."

O'Rourke discussed adding his latest offer from Illinois.

"Illinois seemed really interested in me this spring. Illinois recruited me hard and they made a few in school visits. Once they watched one of my workouts they offered me the next day. I really like the3 coaches at Illinois. They are a great group of coaches and I also like the overall atmosphere at Illinois."

O'Rourke filled us in on his upcoming summer plans.

"I'm going to visit Northwestern tomorrow (Thursday). They invited me to come up and visit them and learn more about the school and I'm heading up to Northwestern with my parents. I'm looking at camping with Notre Dame for the Irish Invasion camp later this month. I'm pretty sure that will be the only camp I have set for now."

O'Rourke is also excited to get back with his team this summer.

"We start team camp in a few weeks. I'm really excited to get back with the team and start getting after it again. We have a lot of new faces but everyone has been working hard and working and starting to bond as a team."

Devin O'Rourke has scholarship offers from Iowa State, Central Michigan and Illinois.
