DE Winfrey adds his first offer

Roselle (Ill.) Lake Park junior defensive end recruit Perrion Winfrey (6-foot-4, 255 pounds) was able to add his first offer on Wednesday from Wyoming. Winfrey talks about his first offer and much more in this latest recruiting update.

"Wyoming offered me earlier today (Wednesday)," Winfrey said. "They have a great program and I had a good talk on the phone with the new coach (Jake Dickert). The offer sort of came out of nowhere so it's pretty exciting."

Winfrey has also drawn recruiting looks and interest from several schools so far this winter.

"Besides Wyoming I've been in touch with the coaches from South Dakota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ball State, Illinois, Illinois State, Western Illinois, Northwestern, NIU, Central Michigan, Louisville, South Dakota State, Iowa, Iowa State and Bowling Green. A lot of the schools want me to stay in touch with them and also come visit them."

Winfrey is also hoping to get out on the road and make some spring unofficial visits.

"I haven't had a chance to get out to visit any schools just yet. I'm going to sit down with my parents and plan some trips out. I'm not sure yet on which schools I'll visit but I'll let you know once I have everything set."

Does Winfrey have a dream school?

"I've always dreamed about being a Buckeye. I've just always have been a fan of Ohio State. One of my old coaches who has taught me alot about football over the years played for Ohio State."

Perrion Winfrey has a scholarship offer from Wyoming.
