Diggs recaps his decision

Downers Grove (Ill.) North three star ranked senior linebacker prospect Vontae Diggs (6-foot-4, 200 pounds) gave Ball State his verbal commitment. Diggs talks about his decision here.
"Ball State just feels like home so I committed," Diggs said. "It's been an up and down road for me but it's all done now and I feel great. Ball State just feels like the best fit for me and I couldn't be happier."

Diggs originally committed to Toledo but then backed off that early decision.
"Toledo to me just never felt like home. It's that factor that really stuck out to me and that's why I backed off my earlier commitment. I love the coaches at Toledo and it's a great program but I just never felt as comfortable like I do with Ball State. Ball State has a lot to offer and it just feels like it's the best fit for me."
So what position will Diggs play for the Cardinals?
"They are pretty open when it comes to a position. They want to see where I'm at physically in a year or so. Ball State said they like me as either a linebacker spot or even as a defensive end if I add more weight and size. I'm just looking to get on the field as early as possible. I've been pretty versatile in my career so far and I have no issue playing at any spot the coaches feel I can help the team."
Diggs is thrilled to have his recruiting process completed
"My recruiting had a lot of ups and downs and I'm just glad it's over. The hardest part was the lies and all the BS you'll hear from the coaches. Ball State was just very straight with me from the beginning which I totally respected. Some schools will tell you anything you want to hear. Ball State just offered me a chance and an opportunity and now it's up to me. That's all I ever wanted from any school."
Vontae Diggs is verbally committed to Ball State.
