DL Griffin adds his first offer

Homewood (Ill.) Flossmoor junior defensive linemen recruit Jeff Griffin (6-foot-2, 260 pounds) played on the Vikings offensive line last season, however Griffin's college home will most likely be on the defensive line. Griffin added his first offer recently from Indiana State and talks recruiting here.

"It's pretty exciting to get my first offer," Griffin said. "The coaches from Indiana State came into school and watched one of my workouts. They had me call them later that day and that's when they offered me."

Griffin talked about his initial impression of the Indiana State Sycamores.

"I was very surprised to get my first offer from Indiana State. All of these coaches have been saying that they like me but that they all wanted to see me in camps this summer. I need to look into ISU more and I'm planning to go visit them the Week of June 2nd."

Has Griffin drawn any new recruiting attention from schools besides Indiana State?

"We seem to have college coaches in school every day. Indiana State was in school along with Iowa, Washington State, Illinois and Minnesota have all been in school. NIU and Northwestern came into school a while along with SIU and Missouri State."

Griffin is now focused on hitting the camp circuit starting in early June.

"I'm just looking forward to going out to some of the camps and proving myself. I played on the offensive line last season so the college coaches don't have any tape on me playing defense. I'm going to the Iowa camp for sure and I'll also set up a few more camps soon."

Jeff Griffin has a scholarship offer from Indiana State.
