DT Lee impressed at Nike

LaGrange Park (IL) Nazareth Academy junior defensive tackle recruit Isaiah Lee (6-foot-2, 280 pounds) continues to impress this winter and was part of the final best on best defensive linemen group at Sunday's The Opening camp held at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. Lee talks about his camp experience and much more here.

"I just wanted to go out and show people I can compete with the top names," Lee said. "I've never been a big testing/combine guy but once we get into linemen work I felt good about how I played today (Sunday)."

Lee discussed his impressions and his overall performance from Sunday's The Opening camp performance.

"I really liked the coaches at the camp. They really stressed using my hands and I'm always looking and working to get better with my hands. I just love to go out and compete and they had really good competition at The Opening. I went against some great offensive linemen but no one was better than Tyrone Sampson from Michigan. I just felt good about how I stacked up against a lot of the top recruiting names at the camp. I just want to keep working and keep getting better from here on out and The Opening camp no question will help me get better. I have more confidence in myself after this camp."

Lee has also started to draw more recruiting interest this early spring.

"Things seem to be getting better with my recruiting. I'm planning to go visit Indiana soon. I'm also going to visit Wisconsin on April 18th. I've also been in touch with Colorado State and I want to also go visit them sometime soon."

Isaiah Lee has scholarship offers from Illinois State, Central Michigan, North Dakota State and Colorado State.
