Glazier recaps his Fordham pledge

Oak Park (IL) Fenwick senior offensive tackle prospect Austin Glazier (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) recently decided to end his recruiting process and gave Fordham his verbal commitment. Glazier talks about his decision here.

"I decided to end my recruiting and gave Fordham my verbal commitment," Glazier said. "Fordham is just the best overall fit for me and I'm just really excited about my decision and so is my family."

So why did Glazier decide to end his process and pledge to the Fordham Rams?

"Fordham has a lot to offer on and off the field. The football program plays in the Patriot League and I feel that I'm a good fit at the FCS level. The school has around nine thousand kids and it's just the perfect size school. Fordham is located in New York City and is located in the Bronx. When you walk into the school it's hard to see at first but once you are inside it's like in it's own world. It's really quiet and just beautiful. It's just a great overall set-up and I feel a great fit for me."

Glazier also was impressed with Fordham's academics as another big factor in his decision.

"Fordham has a Top 25 ranked Business School plus it's located in the heart of the biggest business center in the world. I know that I'll have a chance to be close to so many companies and opportunities at Fordham."

Glazier is also excited to put his recruiting behind him.

"It's been a tough recruiting process at times and I'm really happy and relieved to be committed. The hardest part of the process was just hanging in there and not jumping at the first offer or option. At first I wanted to wait awhile before I committed early on but things really changed this summer. I didn't want to miss out on Fordham so I was ready and I didn't want to wait for someone else to take my spot."

Austin Glazier is verbally committed to Fordham.
