Hallstrom is on the grind

Naperville (Ill.) Central junior offensive guard prospect Luke Hallstrom (6-foot-3, 280 pounds) has been focused on improving his game this winter and preparing for his 2018 senior season. Hallstrom checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news here.

"These days it's just all about the off the field grind," Hallstrom said. "I'm lifting and working out seven days a week. I'm also taking part in the Boom Linemen challenge and I'm making a lot of progress this winter."

Hallstrom recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I was able to make a visit not too long ago to Miami of Ohio. It was my second visit to Miami but this was my first visit as a recruit. Miami of Ohio has a really nice campus and I also was able to talk with the offensive line coach George Barnett and a few of the other coaches at Miami. They said that they liked my video and they want me to stay in touch. I was also able to take a full tour of the campus and they have a great looking campus. Miami also has a brand new weight room and indoor facility and everything was pretty impressive."

Hallstrom is also hoping to make more college visits soon.

"I'm planning to head out to Western Michigan for a visit on February 24th. One of my old teammates Trevor Campbell plays at Western Michigan and he told me that the coaches really like me a lot so hopefully that visit goes well."

Hallstrom has also heard from more schools this winter.

"Besides Miami of Ohio and Western Michigan, I'm also being followed by Iowa State, Marshall along with some Ivy League schools."
