Hill talked about why he decided to pledge to the USD Coytotes.
"Out of all the schools that I visited South Dakota was the only place that felt like home. The school is pretty amazing. My player host was Dylan Jiles and we played together for a long time at Richards and Dylan is family already. The team and the football program is building up and the community is just laid back and pretty relaxing. I just loved it and the visit just sold me on South Dakota."
Hill admitted that having friends already on the Coyotes roster played a factor in his decision.
"It definitely feels good to know that I will already have friends on the team at South Dakota. Both Dylan and Tacari (Carpenter) are great players and great guys."
Hill is also thrilled to have his college choice completed.
"I'm very happy that it's over. I was offered as an inside linebacker and it's a position I feel the most comfortable playing. It's just a great fit and I'm really happy and excited about South Dakota."
Romontay Hill is verbally committed to South Dakota.
