Danville (IL) senior kicker prospect Caleb Griffin (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) has already hitting the camp circuit hard this summer and that included a stop last Saturday at Lake Forest College for it's annual satellite camp. Griffin recaps his recent travels here.

"This camp (Lake Forest College) went better than I expected" Griffin said. "I was able to get a lot of work in with a smaller group of kids. I went to workout in front of a few coaches but I also ended up working a lot with Illinois special teams coach Lig (Bob Ligashesky)."

Griffin was able to spend time and get to know several of the Illinois coaches better on Saturday.

"Besides Coach Lig I was also able to meet Coach (Luke) and also Coach (Mike) Phair plus Lovie Smith. I was already planning to camp at Illinois this Thursday and it was good to already start to build a relationship. I was also able to get a lot of work in especially with my punting. I've been working hard to improve my overall punting this summer and it was good to get some extra work in on Saturday."

Griffin also recapped his next camp plans.

"I'll be camping at NIU on Wednesday, then I'll be at Illinois on Thursday. I'm leaving on Friday for Alabama and I'm camping at Alabama on Saturday. I'll also be camping at Iowa the following Monday then I'll be at Wisconsin on June 25th."

Griffin is also waiting to find out his status with thew Indiana Hoosiers.

"I camped earlier at Indiana and it went really well. The Indiana coaches said I was one of a handful of kickers that they are considering offering. .Indiana said that they would be offering a kicker on June 18th."
