Kimbrough recap CMU visit

Homewood (Ill.) Flossmoor junior athlete recruit Jamezz Kimbrough (6-foot-3, 250 pounds) made an on campus Junior Day visit to Central Michigan on Saturday and came away with his first scholarship offer.

"I went up to Central Michigan on Saturday for the Junior Day and they offered me." Kimbrough said. "It feels great to get my first offer. I was hoping that first offer would come but Central Michigan really surprised me. I just didn't think it (first offer) would come this early."

Kimbrough filled us in on his impressions from his first Central Michigan visit.

"I liked the campus at Central Michigan. It's a pretty good sized school but it's also not too overwhelming. I also really like the coaches at Central Michigan. The CMU coaches just seem like cool guys and they all are very personable. Central Michigan also has nice facilities and they are also in the process of building a new 20 million dollar football facility. I just liked the overall vibe at Central Michigan and it was a good trip."

Kimbrough, who played on the Vikings offensive line in 2015 is a bit of a name without a college position for now.

"Central Michigan really didn't talk any specific position for me and that seems to be the case with a lot of schools recruiting me. I played offensive line last year but up until last season I've always played on defense. I mean I'm totally open when it comes to a position. The coaches at Central Michigan said they want to see where I'm at physically at this time next year before they figure out where I should play for them."

Also look for Kimbrough to make more Junior Day visits soon.

"I'm planning to visit NIU on March 4th, Indiana on march 6th and I also plan to get out to Bowling Green sometime in March."

Jamezz Kimbrough has a scholarship offer from Central Michigan.
