Kirts has lots of offers and options

Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice junior offensive tackle recruit Evan Kirts (6-foot-5, 255 pounds) was one of several standouts from the State of Illinois at Sunday's Under Armour camp in Northbrook. Kirts updates his latest recruiting news and more in this update.

"The (Under Armout) camp was good," Kirts said. "I liked the camp and the format and they also had good competition and I was able to get a lot of work in today."

Kirts, who worked out at the UA camp at tight end but who has added the majority of his offers as an offensive linemen filled us in on his latest recruiting news and offers this spring.

"I have offers so far from Virginia, NIU, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Ball State, Illinois State, Eastern Illinois and Fordham. I also have roster spot offers so far from Penn, Dartmouth, Columbia and Cornell. I've also been in touch with the coaches from Duke, Illinois and last week Cincinnati made an in school visit. I was also able to head out East over my spring break and I visited Harvard, Yale, Penn and Dartmouth. I'm definitely interested in the Ivy League schools and I had really good visits to each school."

So does Kirts have any summer camp plans in place?

"I haven't set anything up just yet. I might end up camping maybe at Virginia and Duke."

Kirts is also getting ready and excited for his upcoming senior season.

"We should be good this season and we bring back a lot of kids from last season. Everyone is more than ready to put last year behind us and we are really focused and working hard."

Evan Kirts has multiple scholarship offers.
