LB Calcagno checks in

Naperville (Ill.) North senior wide receiver/outside linebacker recruit Nick Calcagno (6-foot-3, 213 pounds) has been busy on the college camp circuit so far this summer while also in team camp as the Huskies get closer to the season. Calcagno recaps his latest recruiting and more here.

"This week I've been just focused on our team camp," Calcagno said. "I've been to a lot of college camps this summer and I'm taking a break from the college camps for now."

Calcagno also recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I still have offers now from NIU, Indiana State, SIU and Southeast Missouri State. NIU was my latest offer and it's a really good offer and a school that I'm looking harder at these days. I just don't want to jump at an offer until I feel 100 percent on board with my decision. "

Calcagno has also drawn some new looks this summer.

"I was able to camp this summer North Central College, Benedictine University and Elmhurst College satellite camps. I also went to NIU twice for camps along with Iowa for a camp. I've been in touch with the coaches at Wyoming, Illinois State and Cornell. I'e been in touch with some bigger schools including some Big Ten schools. They all want to see some of my early senior tape."

Calcagno is also excited about his team this summer.

"We are filling in a few holes but we are also starting to click. The offense has been really clicking and it feels like we are making big improvements every day in camp."

Nick Calcagno has scholarship offers from NIU, SIU, SEMO and Indiana State.
