LB Dixon sets first visit

Wilmette (IL) Loyola Academy junior outside linebacker/defensive end prospect Armoni Dixon (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) is having a very strong junior season so far the the state ranked Ramblers (6-1) and head coach John Holocek. Dixon has also begun to draw more recruiting looks and recaps his recruiting news and more in this update.

"The season has been going pretty well," Dixon said. "We just beat Leo and now we have a big game this week on Friday at Providence Catholic."

Dixon has also started to draw more recruiting looks this fall.

"I've been getting more and more recruiting interest lately from some different schools. Toledo has been in touch a lot and they send me a ton of mail. I've also been talking with Western Michigan, Iowa State and also Purdue. All of the schools want me to visit them this season for a game and they also want me to stay in touch with them."

Dixon is also excited about making his first college game day experience this Saturday.

"I'm heading to Iowa State on Saturday for the game against Kansas. It's going to be my first ever game day visit and I'm just really excited to see Iowa State."

So what is Jones looking for when he visits Iowa State this Saturday?

"I just want to visit the campus and have a chance to look around and experience the school and the entire game day experience. I'm also hoping to get to know the Iowa State coaches a little better. I'm also looking to see how much fan support the team gets at Iowa State."

So have any of the schools recruiting him mentioned an eventual college position for Dixon?

"They really haven't mentioned anything about position so far. The coaches just say they like my game and how I play the game."
