Mitchell recaps Illinois visit

Crete-Monee defensive tackle recruit John Mitchell (6-foot-3, 270 pounds) was one of several in-state recruits who visited Saturday's University of Illinois spring practice.

Mitchell, who discusses his first in-person meeting with new Illinois head coach Lovie Smith, also has an early favorite school. Mitchell also talks time frame for making his college choice and more in this update.

Mitchell, who has nine scholarship offers so far this spring has also been drawing new contact from three schools.
