New offer is in for DB West
Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic junior defensive back recruit Mitch West (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) added his second scholarship offer on Wednesday night from South Dakota State. West checks in and discusses his latest offer and much more here.
"South Dakota State just offered me." West said. "It's a nice surprise, They have been in touch a little bit and I know they visited school back in the winter. Outside of that I had no idea that they would offer me."
West talked about adding his latest offer from the SDSU Jackrabbits.
"I really don't know much about them (South Dakota State) to be honest. I know that they play in a great conference (Missouri Valley) and that's one of the best conferences in FCS. I'll definitely look into them soon and I'm going to try to head out and visit them most likely sometime this spring."
West also has an East Coast trip planned to visit a few schools soon.
"I'm set to go out and visit Boston College in early April. I've been staying in touch with the Boston College coaches and they want me to come visit them. I'm also looking at visiting Columbia since we will be on the East Coast. I've been drawing more and more recruiting looks from several Ivy League schools."
West has also been hearing from several new schools this early spring.
"I've been getting more interest from a bunch of new schools. North Dakota State, Western Illinois, Princeton, Fordham, NIU and Wyoming have all been in touch. A lot of the schools have said that they will be in school this spring. All of those schools also want me to camp with them this summer."
Mitch West has scholarship offers from Illinois State and South Dakota State.
