Nubin enjoyed the Army combine

St. Charles (Ill.) North (1-1) junior defensive back recruit Tyler Nubin (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) took part in the Army combine last week and was able to impress several observers with his performance. Nubin recaps his thoughts from San Antonio and more in this recruiting update.

"The Army combine went really well," Nubin said. "It was a really long day but it was also a great event with a ton of talented kids competiting."

Nubin filled us in on his thoughts on his own experience and performance from the Army combine.

"They had us in two separate group so one group would test while the other group would work on other things then we all came together for one on ones. I really liked the fact that they had like 2 hours of positional work and one on ones. I thought I did well in one on ones and took advantage of the reps I was able to get. It just felt great to go out and compete again and I was also really impressed with the talent level at the Army combine."

Nubin is already right back to basketball season.

"I went right back to my team and basketball season and we have a huge game this Friday against (St. Charles) East."

Nubin will remain busy this winter but hopes to get out to make a few college visits.

"I've been invited to junior day events by Minnesota, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, NIU and also Michigan State. I'm set to visit Minnesota on January 27th and that's the only visit I have set for now. It just all depends on my schedule with basketball."

Tyler Nubin has scholarship offers from Northern Illinois, Central Michigan and Illinois State.
