OL Cox returned to Iowa State

Peoria (Ill.) junior three star ranked offensive guard recruit Marques Cox (6-foot-5, 290 pounds) is starting to become a regular on the campus at Iowa State. Cox, who made his third unofficial to Iowa State last weekend for the Cyclones Spring Game. Cox recaps his latest visit and more in this update.

"I went back a few weeks ago to Iowa State," Cox said. "I went to the Spring Game and that was my third visit back to Iowa State now."

Cox came away impressed with the Cyclones after spending more time at Iowa State.

"It was just a fun experience at Iowa State for the Spring Game. I was able to just hang out and watch the game. I also talked to a lot of the coaches at Iowa State. They are really excited about me and they want me to commit. I really like Iowa State but I'm still going to wait for now and keep my options open."

Cox also has remained in touch with a few schools this spring.

"I still talk with the coaches at Northern Illinois along with the coaches at Illinois. I also talk with the coaches who have already offered me. My coaches said that we will see a lot of college coaches in school soon."

Cox, who has been recovering from off-season surgery is also making progress in his rehab.

"My rehab has been going well. I'm just starting to get back to running and using my legs more. I did a lot of lifting and upper body work all along. I'll be fully cleared and ready to go in time for the season."

Marques Cox has scholarship offer from Iowa State, Ball State, Illinois State, Buffalo, Miami of Ohio and Western Illinois.
