OL Ditchman decides

New Lenox (Ill) Lincoln-Way Central senior offensive guard recruit Bryan Ditchman (6-foot-2, 295 pounds) made his college choice last night when he gave Florida International University his verbal commitment. Ditchman talks about his decision here.
"I committed to Florida International," Ditchman said. "I just had a great visit and a great experience with the coaches at FIU and I knew that I was ready to commit."

Ditchman talked about why he gave the FIU Golden Panthers his verbal commitment.
"Academics have always been a top priority for me from the beginning and FIU offers a great computer engineering program. FIU offered me as a offensive guard but they also said they could try me out at center as well. I was really impressed with the coaches at FIU along with the campus. I was able to sit down and talk with just about every coach at FIU and they are just great people and also very down to Earth."
Ditchman had narrowed down his list of favorite schools to two before making his decision.
"Besides FIU I also really liked Western Illinois. They have a great group of coaches I just wanted to go somewhere out of state and they just didn't offer what FIU has to offer. FIU is just the better overall fit for me."
Ditchman can now focus on his upcoming senior season and is he glad to have his recruiting process completed?
"I'm definitely glad it's over. It's a lot of pressure off my shoulders and I don't need to worry about impressing college coaches during the season. I can just play for my team instead of worrying about recruiting."
Bryan Ditchman is verbally committed to Florida International University.
