OL Kratz adds offers

Naperville (Ill.) Central junior offensive tackle prospect Fabian Kratz (6-foot-5, 279 pounds) has added three offers so far this winter and expect Kratz to continue to draw more recruiting looks this coming spring.

"I have scholarship offers so far from Miami of Ohio, Bowling Green and now Fordham," Kratz said. "My recruiting has been going very well and it's very exciting."

Kratz, a foreign exchange student who hails from Cologne, Germany recapped his latest recruiting news.

"Besides having three offers I've been in touch with several schools. I visited Miami of Ohio. and NIU so far and I also will visit Bowling Green on April 3rd. I've also been talking to the coaches at Memphis plus Illinois State, Illinois, Toledo, Nevada and Wyoming. "

Kratz, who played football in Germany for 6 years before coming to the United States explained his adjustment to the game here in Chicagoland.

"One the first snap of my first game here against Glenbard North, no one ever said that the game would be that fast and that physical. That first game was like a blur but eventually I settled in and adjusted to it. The game definitely started to slow down for me as the season progressed."

Does Kratz have a dream school?

"I'm very open when it comes to colleges. I said very early on that I just wanted someone to get a chance to play in college."

Kratz also sounded like a born and raised Chicagoan when asked what one of his favorite places to eat.

"I like hamburgers a lot. I really like Portillos and I get the double cheeseburger."
