OL Swartz adds another camp offer

Rock Island (Ill.) senior offensive tackle prospect Logan Swartz (6-foot-5, 290 pounds) was one of several in-state recruits who took part in the Northwestern Showcase camp on Saturday. Swartz had an impressive day and came away with his first FBS offer from Kent State and discusses his camp performance and more here.

"The Northwestern Showcase camp was fun," Swartz said. "They had a ton of college coaches at the camp and a lot of those same coaches wanted to see me live so it worked out well for me. The camp had a ton of kids and testing took a long time but overall I thought it was a well run camp."

Swartz was able to add an offer from Kent State at the Northwestern Showcase camp.

"Coach (Bill) O'Boyle from Kent State was at the Northwestern camp and he had a lot of good things to say to me about my camp performance. Coach O'Boyle also offered me which was pretty exciting. Kent State is my first FBS level offer and that's pretty exciting. I'll go out and visit Kent State as soon as I'm don with the rest of my college camps this summer."

Swartz also ran down his remaining summer camp plans.

"I'm going to camp this Saturday at NIU. I'm also going to camp at Northern Iowa, Western Illinois along with camping at Iowa and then at SIU in July."

Does Swartz have his summer camp plans set?

"I'll be camping at Lindenwood on June 2nd. I'm also going to North Central College for a camp on June 7th, Northwestern on June 9th, NIU on June 16th plus Iowa on June 24th. I'm also going to get back down to SIU on July 13th."

Swartz is also excited about his team camp this summer and the Rocks chances this coming season.

"We started our team camp last week and it's been going really good. Everyone is getting up to speed and it's exciting to see us come together. I have a good feeling about this team and this upcoming season."

Logan Swartz has a scholarship offer from Kent State, Southern Illinois, McKendree and Wayne State.
