OL Swartz showed well on Monday

Rock Island (Ill.) junior offensive tackle prospect Logan Swartz (6-foot-5, 290 pounds) was one of several impressive linemen at Monday's 3rd annual EDGYTIM Underclassmen Showcase powered by EFT Football Academy. Swartz talks about his showcase performance, his latest recruiting news and much more in this update.

"I was pretty sore after Monday's showcase and we had a chance to get in a lot of good work," Swartz said. "Overall I had a great time at the showcase. I felt I did alright in drill work and I didn't lose any of my one on ones."

Swartz, who also plays baseball for Rock Island discusses his latest recruiting news.

"I've heard from a handful of schools so far. I was invited to a junior day event last weekend at Miami of Ohio but the weather got pretty rough out our way so we couldn't make the trip. I was able to visit Eastern Michigan last fall and I had a good visit and experience at Eastern Michigan. My dream school hands down would be Iowa. Iowa is just 45 minutes from my home and I've just always have been a big fan of the Hawkeyes. I've camped before at Iowa and I just really like the Iowa coaches along with the facilities at Iowa. "

Swartz is now getting back to work on both improving his overall game while also preparing for his upcoming baseball season.

"I've played both football and baseball since I was like 7 years old. I'm strictly a pitcher so I'm working on just getting ready for tryouts and then the baseball season. From a football standpoint I'm looking to add more power and explosiveness. I'm also working hard to just be more flexible."

So what does Swartz plan to study in college?

"I'm considering wither exercise science or business management. I like both fields and I'm still trying to figure that out."
