OL Vazquez adds Indy State offer
Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North senior offensive guard prospect Jose Vazquez (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) was able to add a weekend offer from Indiana State. Vazquez is also excited about the Panthers (3-2) these days after a big win last Friday over Naperville North. Vazquez checks in and recaps his season, his latest recruiting news and more here.
"We had a huge win on Friday over Naperville North," Vazquez said. "We had a rough start to the year and lost our first two games but we are back on track now."
Vazquez discussed adding his latest offer from Indiana State.
"Indiana State had been staying in touch with me since last summer. The Indiana State coaches saw me at a satellite camp over the summer. They saw my early senior video and really liked it so they called and offered me. I haven't gotten a chance to get out to see Indiana State yet but I'm hoping to visit them soon."
So what's the plan when it comes to Vazquez recruiting process?
"I've been getting calls and staying in touch with several schools. NIU has been interested and they are evaluating my senior video. I'm basically going to wait for now before I even consider making any sort of decision. I have some good offers and options and I'm sure I'll also get out to make some visits during the season and after the season."
Does Vazquez have any favorites?
"Not really. I'm just going to focus on my team and school for now and I'll start looking harder at everything soon."
