OL Vazquez is drawing intetest

Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North junior offensive guard prospect Jose Vazquez (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) will be a three year varsity starter for the Panthers in 2017. Vazquez checks in and discusses his latest recruiting news here.

"These days I'm just working hard and training," Vazquez said. "I've been just focused on school along with just getting bigger, stronger and faster this winter."

Vazquez recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I was able to get out to see Miami of Ohio a few weeks ago for a Junior Day. It was a good visit and it was a good chance to see the school in person along with the facilities. I've also been in touch with Illinois State, Toledo and Western Michigan. I haven't set up any other visits yet but I'm sure I'll get out to see more schools this spring."

Does Vazquez have a dream school?

"I really like Northwestern. When Justin Jackson from my school went to Northwestern I think a lot of us in our school became big Northwestern fans."

Vazquez in the mean time is working hard this off-season.

"I've been working with Acceleration this winter and my big focus has been on just adding more speed and power. I feel that I run pretty well and I can get out quick and pull. I just want to improve my overall game this winter."

Vazquez is also excited for his senior season.

"We should have another good season this year. We bring a lot of kids back from last year. We have a few kids to replace at some key spots but overall everyone is working hard and is excited for the season."
