OL Vazquez's next step?

Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North senior offensive guard prospect Jose Vazquez (6-foot-3, 300 pounds) had a very productive summer and is now locked into getting ready for his upcoming senior season. Vazquez checks in and recaps his upcoming senior season, latest recruiting news and more here.

"Our team is looking good in practices," Vazquez said. "It took a little bit to get going since we had a few weeks off before the first day, but since the first day we've been doing really good."

Vazquez filled us in on his latest recruiting news.

"I'm just going to focus on my senior season and I won't be making a decision for awhile. A lot of schools have told me that they want to see some of my early senior tape. I've been in touch with the coaches from Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Indiana State and a few others. I also stay in touch with the schools who have offered me. I still talk with the coaches to Northern Michigan, Olivet Nazarene, St. Francis, Western Michigan, Cornell, SIU, South Dakota and also Southeast Missouri State. I'm looking at my options but I also just want to see how it all plays out for now."

Does Vazquez plan on attending any college games in person this fall?

"I'm definitely planning to go see some college games in person this fall. I just haven't really sat down and sorted anything out just yet. I "

So does Vazquez set any sort of personal goal going into a season?

"I really just want to be better this year than I was last year. I always go back and watch my old video and I work hard on improving my game every winter. I feel a lot stronger this year and I know that my pass pro is so much better now compared to a year ago."

Vazquez is also excited for his senior season.
