OLB Antoniou returns back home

Hinsdale (Ill.) Central senior outside linebacker prospect Aaron Antoniou (6-foot-3, 205 pounds) has transferred back to Hinsdale Central for his senior year after spending last season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Antoniou talks about his transfer and latest recruiting news here.

"I transferred back to Hinsdale Central and I'm all set and registered into school," Antoniou said. "I'm also back with the team this summer and our team camp has been going good and I'm loving it so far."

Antoniou discussed why he decided to leave IMG Academy and come back home to Hinsdale.

"I was playing on second string as a strong safety and also playing on special teams at IMG last year. After looking at everything I decided along with my family that coming back home for my senior year was my best decision. I'm just excited to be back home and back with kids that I already know and playing for my home school. This year I'm looking at playing some defensive end and linebacker for my team this season and I'm excited to be back at Hinsdale Central. It feels good to be back home for sure."

Antoniou is also planning to pick back up his recruiting process this summer.

"It's been pretty hectic in June with transferring back so I wasn't able to get out to any one day camps in June. I'm planning to get out to a few camps this month and also make some college campus visits. I'm looking at visiting Minnesota and Illinois soon. I'm planning to camp at Western Illinois later this week and I'm also planning to visit UMass as well."

Antoniou also knows that his senior tape will be a big key in his recruiting process this fall.

"A lot of the college coaches have said that they all want to see my early senior tape. I'm planning to just go out and earn offers and hopefully show them something good this season on video. "
