Oseland ready to visit O

Springfield (Ill) Sacred Heart Griffin three star ranked junior offensive tackle recruit Quinn Oseland (6-foot-6, 307 pounds) is gearing up for an unofficial visit to Oregon in early May. So why is a kid from Springfield, Illinois traveling across the country to check out Oregon?
"Oregon looks like it will be my last visit for the spring," Oseland said. "I'm heading out to Oregon on May 1st and I'm pretty excited to get out and see them in person."

Oseland, who added an offer from the Ducks this past winter talked about why he's traveling halfway across the country to make an unofficial visit to see Oregon.
"Oregon is just a great team and I've always liked that part of the country. I've been talking to the coaches at Oregon on a regular basis ever since they offered me and I just want to see and experienced the school for myself. I have family living in Oregon and that is also another factor for me in getting out to see them. I guess to answer your question, yeah I'm pretty serious about Oregon since I'm going to travel so far for an unofficial visit."
Oseland also had a very busy day this past Saturday.
"I took the ACT test at home in the morning in Springfield and then we headed up to Chicago and I was a part of the NFTC. The ACT I felt went very well. The Nike Camp was great and I honestly felt I could have performed better to be honest. I was happy about my testing numbers and I improved in every area from last year. I just feel that I'm more of a player in game situations and in pads versus in a camp. It's not an excuse. I should have been better at the NFTC but I just feel more comfortable in pads on the field."
Oseland also talked about his summer plans.
"I'm still not sure about camps for the summer. I'm going to make visits to places like Arizona State, Louisville and Minnesota to name a few. I just want to see which schools have offered me and if I want to camp at a few schools who haven't offered me yet. I'll have a better idea about camps later this spring."
So any time frame yet for Oseland?
"I'm still in no hurry to make a decision. When it feels right I'll commit."
