O'Sullivan talked about why he switched his verbal commitment from the Bearcats to the Orangemen.
"I've known the coaches at Syracuse since they offered me when they were at Bowling Green and in particular Coach (Sean) Lewis. Once Coach Lewis got the job at Syracuse they became more interesting to me. They offered me a scholarship Monday and they also made an in home visit. I set up a visit this past weekend and then came home and talked it over. I called up the coaches at Cincinnati today and told them my plans and that I'm solid to Syracuse.
O'Sullivan discussed why he changed his decision.
"The visit to Syracuse really sold me. I had a great visit and I just felt at home and comfortable on the campus and around the team. The facilities, the campus, the academics and just everything about Syracuse was a great fit. I already know the coaches at Syracuse well and I just feel like I can succeed at Syracuse. Syracuse is just a better fit for me so I made the best decision for what I feel is the best for me, and that's Syracuse."
O'Sullivan admitted that calling up the Cincinnati coaches and telling him his decision wasn't easy.
"It was one of the hardest calls I've ever made to be honest. It was just a difficult discussion but it was also a discussion I needed to have with the coaches. I can't thank the coaches at Cincinnati enough but in the end I have to do what I feel is best for me. They understood and I appreciated them for how well they handled it."
