OT Hawn visited Illinois again
St. Charles (Ill.) North junior three star ranked offensive tackle recruit Isaac Hawn (6-foot-6, 285 pounds) made another unofficial visit to Illinois on Friday. Hawn, who has now made four separate on campus visits talks about his latest stop here.
"I was back at Illinois on Friday." Hawn said. "I made this visit more from the academic standpoint. Several of the Illinois coaches ended up going to the NFL Combine which I already knew so this visit was strictly finding out more about the academics at Illinois."
Hawn filled us in on his Friday University of Illinois visit.
"I had a chance to sit down and meet with some of the professors and advisors in the Computer Science department. I plan to major in Computer Science and Illinois has one of the top programs in the nation. I was also able to sit down and talk with some of the academics advisors who work with the football program. I wanted to just get some of my questions answered and I came away with a much better knowledge of the academics at Illinois. Illinois offers a great education and I came away pretty impressed with Illinois from the academic standpoint."
Hawn has at least one more visit planned for this coming weekend..
"I'm planning to visit Indiana next weekend. I'm going to try to get out to see a few more schools soon I'm still just trying to figure it all out for now."
Hawn has also started to hear from a handful of new schools.
"Duke, NC State and Central Florida have all been in touch recently. They all just want to get to know me better and have invited me out visit them soon."
Hawn is also starting to think about his next step in his recruiting process.
"I'm considering starting to eliminate a few schools and get down to a Top 3 or a Top 5 schools list. I don't have any real time frame in mind but I'm pretty sure I'll get it doen before the start of the season."
