1. Loyola Academy (1) (12-0)- The Ramblers defense smothered Huntley 24-0 to advance...but what's the quarterback situation for the semifinal round?

2. Glenbard West (2) (10-2)- The Hilltoppers just keep rolling and get a huge road win at Edwardsville. The Glenbard West passing game has been on fire in the post-season.

3. Palatine (3) (12-0)- The Pirates just keep finding a way. The Palatine defense also locked down a very strong East option attack to advance.

4. Prairie Ridge (4) (12-0)- Again the Wolves just simply run the football...and score 71 points in a semifinal game. Yikes!

5. Maine South (13) (9-3)- The Hawks hang tough and get a last second game winning 20 yard field goal over LW East.

6. Fenwick (10) (11-1)- The Friars advance to the semifinals for the first time since 1995.

7. Homewood-Flossmoor (5) (10-1)- Season completed.

8. Lincoln-Way East (6) (9-3)- The Griffins battled Maine South and came up just short in a 34-31 last second loss.

9. Plainfield North (12) (10-2)- The Tigers defense locked down Auburn 30-7 to advance.

10. Glenbard North (7) (8-3)-Season completed,

11. Benet Academy (30) (10-2)- The Redwings defense again comes up big in a 15-8 win over Rolling Meadows to advance.

12. DeKalb (29) (10-2)- The Barbs get another big game from it's offense and upset Cary-Grove 35-21.

13. St. Charles East (9) (11-1)- The Saints fall short 10-6 to Palatine. Do not forget this team in 2017 they will be back.

14. Immaculate Conception (21) (12-0)- The Knights roll over Wilmington to advance. Can anyone in 3A slow down this team?

15. Phillips (20) (11-1)- The Wildcats beat Herscher and now face another showdown on the road at Johnsburg.

16. St. Laurence (23) (9-3)- The Vikings defense stepped up big and so did RB Fayezon Smart to advance to the semifinals with a 27-20 win over Lemont.

17. Cary-Grove (8) (10-2)- The career of standout FB/LB Ty Pennington ends. Pennington will go down as one of the best players in school history.

18. Lyons Township (11) (8-3)- Season completed

19. Bradley (14) (10-1)- Season completed.

20. New Trier (15) (8-3)- Season completed.

21. Huntley (10) (8-4)- The Red Raiders fall to Loyola. QB Eric Mooney returns for the 2017 season.

22. Morris (NR) (10-2)- The Redskins defense has been very strong this post-season including Saturday's 12-7 win over Metamora to advance.

23. Fremd (17) (7-4)- Season completed.

24. Waubonsie Valley (19) (6-5)- Season completed.

25. Sycamore (NR) (8-2)- The Spartans get payback on Sterling with the 29-22 OT win.

26. Lemont (20) (11-1)- The Indians defense just could lock down the St. Laurence offense and come up just short losing 27-20.

27. Rolling Meadows (22) (11-1)- The Mustangs again proved that we all took them too lightly in 2016. Hung tough and came up short losing to Benet 15-86.

28. Barrington (24) (9-2)- Season completed.

29. Neuqua Valley (8-2) (27)- Season completed.

30. Naperville North (8-2) (28)- Season completed.
