1. Loyola Academy (1) (2-0) Close call win over Maine South. Biggest point allowed by Ramblers defense since q998.

2. Glenbard West (2) (2-0)- The offense struggled in beating Hinsdale South yet the defense is already in mid-season form.

3. Homewood-Flossmoor (3) (2-0)- The Vikings get it's first big challenge this week at Lincoln-Way East.

4. Lincoln-Way East (5) (2-0)- Huge game in Frankfort this Friday night hosting H-F.

5. Waubonsie Valley (8) (2-0) A very young yet very poised team here. Terrific comeback win over Glenbard North.

6. Mount Carmel (6) (2-0)- Speaking of tests...the Caravan finally get a big one this week hosting Loyola.

7. Palatine (7) (2-0)- The Pirates keep rolling along.

8. Brother Rice (8) (2-0)- The offense for the Crusaders put up big points in beating Crete last Friday.

9. Glenbard North (4) (1-1)- Despite the 29-28 loss to WV this is still one of the top teams in Chicagoland. RB Vittorio Tricase runs as hard as anyone in 2016.

10. Prairie Ridge (10) (2-0)- The Wolves get two straight wins against two straight FVC powers. Impressive.

11. Neuqua Valley (11) (2-0)- The Wildcats go on the road to take on rival Waubonsie Valley this Friday. Expect a capacity crowd.

12. Hinsdale Central (12) (2-0)- The Red Devils continue it's Taste of Downers Grove tour this week at Downers Grove North.

13. Maine South (13) (1-1)- Trust me...I gave a lot of consideration of moving the Hawks "up" despite the one point loss to Loyola. QB Nick Leongas is the real deal folks.

14. Oak Park-River Forest (14) (2-0)- The Huskies are gearing up for a very rough end of the regular season slate.

15. Marist (15) (1-1)- The Redhawks offense comes back to life in beating Simeon 24-24..

16. Fenwick (17) (2-0)- Game on this Friday hosting Montini. Huge game for the up and coming Friars.

17. Stevenson(18) (1-0)- Experience pays off as the Friars rally for the come from behind upset win over Phillips.

18. Bolingbrook (16) (1-1)- The Bolingbrook defense is strong. The offense? How about that Raiders defense!

19. Nazareth Academy (19) (2-0)- A much needed ESCC test this week on the road at Notre Dame.

20. Montini Catholic (20) (1-1)- Another week and another bog game for the Broncos. Did Montini find an answer on offense in the second half last Friday?

21. Batavia (21) (2-0)- Huge 3 OT win in Libertyville. Very few tams do power football as well as the Bulldogs do.

22. Libertyville (22) (2-0)- The Wildcats are getting strong play from QB Jack Ruskull so far this season.

23. Barrington (23) (2-0)- Big, big big big big big test this week hosting Maine South.

24. Phillips (24) (1-1)- Yet another quality opponent for the Wildcats this Saturday night at Gately. See you there.

25. Cary-Grove (26) (1-1)- Can the Trojans defense slow down the pass happy Whip-Purs from Hampshire this week?

26. St. Charles North (27) (2-0)- Just quietly getting it done. Working...and waiting...and working...and waiting.

27. Lyons Townshp (29) (2-0)- Just wait till this Lions offense really kicks things into gear.

28. Crete-Monee (25) (1-1)- Yet another Illinois team will jump the state line this week in search of a game.

29. Wheaton North (NR) (2-0)- Lots of impact players and senior leaders for this Falcons team.

30. Immaculate Conception (NR) (2-0)- HUGE win over St. Laurence last Friday. That Jordan Rowell (NIU) kid can play a little.
