Final 2017 Chicagoland Top 30 poll
1. Lincoln-Way East 14-0 (1)- The State of Illinois Top Team from the 2017 season? The Class 8A State Champion Lincoln-Way East Griffins.
2. Prairie Ridge 14-0 (2)- 28 wins in a row and yet another amazing performance by the Prairie Ridge Wolves.
3. Loyola Academy 12-2 (4)- The Ramblers played well in 2017 especially with dealing with a ton of injuries all season long.
4. Batavia 13-1 (5)- A great state title winning season for one of the state's best football towns capped off by a thrilling 21-14 OT win over Lake Zurich.
5. Lake Zurich 13-1 (3) The Bears overcame lots of off the field distractions over the past year plus to end up as one of the state's best teams in 2017.
6. Phillips 14-0 (6) A 3A sized enrollment school that "moved up" to play in 5A also had 8A level talent in 2017. The Wildcats can hang with everyone here.
7. Maine South 11-2 (5) Season Completed.
8. Nazareth Academy 12-2 (8) The Road Runners will no question be one of the state's top returning teams in 2018.
9. Mount Carmel 9-4 (9) Season Completed.

Waubonsie Valley (8/NR)- had all the tools but then the win one lose one deal took ahold
Palatine (10/Others)- had a decent run but I just expected more I guess
Lyons Township (11/NR)- hit the late season wall and hit that thing HARD!
New Trier (15/NR)- just never seemed to get out of second gear
Montini Catholic (18/NR)- just never saw a big time game breaker for the Broncos in 2017
Glenbard North (19/NR)- I had issues with the offense going back to the summer...
Simeon (24/Others)- won the Prep Bowl and just couldn't overcome penalties/turnovers
St. Charles East (25/Others)- Battled LWE all it could handle but
Bradley (28/NR)- Yep a major whiff on my part.
