QB Cotton draws more attention

Chicago Ill. Brooks junior quarterback recruit Darrin Cotton (6-foot-5, 180 pounds) has two early offers and has also added more and more recruiting looks and attention. Cotton checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and more here.

"I have offers now from Morgan State and also Mississippi Valley State," Cotton said. "I've also been in touch with several coaches and I've been abler to get out and make some visits."

Cotton, who recently wrapped up his basketball season filled us in on his latest football recruiting news.

"I've been getting mail and contact from schools like Michigan, Illinois State, Ball State, Northern Iowa, Miami of Ohio and several other MAC schools like NIU and Central Michigan. I was also invited to make visits to see Columbia and Yale. I was able to visit Ball State, Illinois State and also Northern Iowa and all three of those visits went well. All of the coaches said that they want to see me throw in person this spring at school."

Cotton is now looking at getting back to training for his 2018 football season.

"I had a pretty good basketball season and now I'm getting back and working out with my team. I'm focusing on just getting back into football shape and I also want to add a bit more size. I'm around 180 pounds now and I plan to be at 185-190 pounds by the start of the season. I'm going to also get out and work on my accuracy, especially when it comes to the deep ball. I'm also looking at improving my overall pocket awareness."

Cotton also plans to check out a few upcoming showcase camps.

"I'm planing to take part in The Opening camp in Columbus plus I'm also going to the United Stars showcase on March 24th."

Darrin Cotton has scholarship offers from Morgan State and Mississippi Valley State.
