QB Oles off to another great start

Palatine (Ill.) senior quarterback Zach Oles (5-foot-11, 200 pounds) was one of the top quarterbacks in the State of Illinois last fall, and Oles is off to another strong season for the Pirates. Oles checks in and talks about his senior season, his latest recruiting news and more here.

"We've been playing pretty well (5-0) ," Oles said. "We have a huge game this week against Fremd and it's a big rivalry game. I've played with all of the Fremd kids since pee wee football and we are all still friends. This week is just different because they are focused in on this week and so am I."

Oles also talked about his latest recruiting news.

"I've been in touch with schools like Butler, Dayton plus North Dakota State, NIU, Princeton along with several Ivy League schools."

Does Oles plan on making any visits?

"I'm going to visit Dayton on October 8th and then I'm planning to go visit a game at Butler on October 22nd."

Oles however is in no rush to make his college decision.

"I'm not going to make any decisions until after the season. I might also make a few official visits before making a decision."

Oles in the meantime is focused on his team and beating Fremd this week.

"Our class has never beaten Fremd and I'm a senior. This is my last shot and everyone is focused on getting the win this week."
