QB Perez adds another offer
East St. Louis (Ill.) junior quarterback recruit Christian Perez (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) was able to add his second scholarship offer after making a recent visit to Southeast Missouri State. Perez talks about his latest offer and more in this recruiting update.
"I was able to go visit a spring practice at Southeast Missouri State," Perez said. "I had a really good visit at SEMO and they ended up offering me a scholarship ."
Perez, who transferred to East St. Louis this semester after being a two year varsity starter for O'Fallon talked about his impressions from Southeast Missouri State.
"It was a pretty cool visit and it really surprised me at SEMO. I was surprised at how nice everything was at SEMO. I was also impressed with the coaches and the whole atmosphere at SEMO. I had a good talk with Coach Tuke (Tom Matukewicz). He's working really hard to change the culture at SEMO and he's a really good coach and motivator. SEMO also has plans to renovate it's facilities and they also have a nice stadium and a nice campus."
Perez has also remained in touch with several schools this spring.
"i'm still in touch with SEMO along with Jackson State, Navy. Air Force, Eastern Kentucky, Central Michigan, SIU, NIU, Toledo and basically all the same schools going back to the winter."
Perez is also excited about his new team and the spring evaluation period.
"We have a lot of great players on this team and some guys that the college coaches will find out about this spring. I'm just excited for the spring evaluation period and a chance for all of us to show what we can do."
