QB Ratay is easy to spot

Geneva (Ill.) junior pro style quarterback prospect Shaun Ratay (6-foot-6, 191 pounds) is pretty easy to spot in any crowd. Ratay, who measured in at 6-foot-6 at last Saturday's Rivals.com Chicagoland junior day event, has plenty of arm to back up that height. Ratay talks about his latest recruiting news and much more in this update.
"I just finished my basketball season last week," Ratay said. "Now it's time for me to really focus on getting ready for football and the various camps this spring and summer."

Ratay was one of several in-state prospects in attendance at last Saturday's Rivals.com Chicagoland junior day.
"I really enjoyed and appreciated the Rivals junior day on Saturday. I was able to learn more about the recruiting process, and the speaker (Joe Hornback) really gave everyone some great insights on the recruiting process. I also attended a junior day several weeks ago at Purdue, and that was also a very good event. I had a chance to talk with the coaches at Purdue and I also really liked the campus and the facilities at Purdue on my junior day visit."
Ratay has heard from several colleges this winter.
"I'm getting steady mail from Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, Duke, Boston College, Penn and about 10 other schools. I've been invited to several other junior day events but because of my basketball season I just couldn't get out to those events."
Look for Ratay to plan a busy spring and summer schedule.
"I've been invited to spring games and practices at Illinois and UConn. I'm going to try and see some schools in person this spring. I'm also planning to attend some college camps this summer, and I'm also looking at attending the Nike Camp at Ohio State in May."
