RB Davis adds his first offer
Chicago (IL) Mount Carmel junior running back recruit Kyle Davis (6-foot-0, 205 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer on Tuesday from Western Michigan. Davis checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and impressions here.
"Western Michigan offered me a scholarship yesterday," Davis said. "I was in class and my head coach (Jordan Lynch) had me call the coaches at WMU from his office and that's when they offered me."
Davis discussed his initial impressions from adding his first offer from Western Michigan.
"I'm pretty excited about getting my first offer from Western Michigan. I was a bit surprised to get the offer because I just figured they would offer me in school. I visited WMU for a spring practice and I really enjoyed myself. I was able to watch the team work in practice along with getting to take a tour of the campus. I was impressed with all of the different resources that are available at WMU. WMU also has a strong business program. I'm planning to major in business management so it could be a good fit for me ."
Davis has also drawn additional recruiting looks and interest this spring.
"Besides Western Michigan, I've also been in touch with South Dakota, NIU, Illinois State, Wyoming and Toledo. They all have been wanting me to come visit them and all of those coaches said they will be in school this spring."
Several college coaches have also stopped into Mount Carmel so far this spring.
"It's been pretty busy at school over the last week or so. Lately Cincinnati, Toledo, NIU and a lot of different level college coaches have stopped into school."
Davis, who is running track for Mount Carmel this spring is also looking towards his upcoming summer college camp plans.
"I'm looking at getting out to some college camps this summer. I'm considering camping at Toledo, Wyoming, Minnesota and NIU. I might also camp at Cincinnati and a few other outside of the Midwest schools."
Davis is also excited for his upcoming senior season.
"I've been working hard and just getting ready for the season. Everybody is excited for the season. Coach Lynch has blended in quickly and he's a really good coach. I've been working on just improving my cuts and just being able to improve my overall vision."
