RB Franklin impresses

Williamsville(Ill.) senior running back prospect Jace Franklin (5-foot-9, 180 pounds) took pat in Monday's SIU satellite camp at Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin. Franklin was impressive all day on Monday and talks about his camp experience and much more here.

"I had a lot of fun at the camp," Franklin said. "The running backs coach worked us hard and he also was really teaching us and he made some great suggestions. The coaches at the camp said I had a good day and SIU wants me to stay in touch."

Franklin, who is 1,600 yard away from setting Williamsville all time career rushing mark in 2016 recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I have an offer from Valparaiso. They sent along a letter to me yesterday and they offered me earlier this spring. SIU has been interested along with Illinois State, Purdue, Illinois plus both McKendree (D2) and Quincy (D2). I'm going to camp this Sunday at Illinois and I'm also camping with Purdue (June 17th) and Illinois State (June 25th)."

Franklin talked about what he feels are his strengths on the field and more..

"I have pretty good change of direction and I worked really hard on my hands this off season. I also run good routes and I also feel I have pretty good vision. I've been working hard to improve my overall speed this off season."

Does Franklin have a dream school?

"I have always loved TCU. They have been my favorite school as a little kid. When it comes to my recruiting I'm just looking for a chance to play in college at the highest level possible."
